Halwa is a dessert popular in asian cuisine particularly in the Indian Subcontinent. Every Meal is incomplete without a sweet or a dessert. In this recipe I will show you Khajoor Halwa or Dates Halwa Recipe. Like every sweet this too has a lots of variations in the method and choice of ingredients used. Chana Dal or Split Chickpeas is also used to prepare this halwa which enhances the taste of this dessert. Ideal recipe for festivals and special occasions to delight the guests. Firstly, we need to roast chana dal in ghee and later we add dates paste along with other ingredients and cook it.

Ingredients for the Khajoor Halwa:
Dates 250 gm
Milk 500 ml
Almonds 25 gm
Pistachios 25 gm
Cardamom Powder 1 tsp
Cashewnuts 25 gm
Brown Sugar or Sugar 50 gm Grinded powder
Chana Dal (Split Chickpeas) 100 gm soaked in water for 2 hours
Ghee/Clarified Butter 4 tbs
Method for the Halva Recipe:
Heat a vessel
Add milk (Boiled)
Add split chickpeas
Cook the split chickpeas for about 10 min while constantly stirring
In a mixer jar
Add de-seeded dates
Now add a little milk and grind to a fine paste
Meanwhile, in another mixer jar
Add the cooked chickpeas and grind to a fine paste
Heat a pan on full flame
Add chickpeas paste
And roast it until it dries out, initially roast on medium flame 2-3 min
Mix it well
Add another 2 tbs ghee
When it dries out add dates paste and mix it
Add brown sugar powder and cardamom powder
Mix it well
Mix well and cook for 10 min on full flame while constant stirring
Today I will show you a dish which is a traditional recipe Coconut/Nariyal Pulao, a vegetarian recipe, prepared using rice and it is made on special occasions like Marriages and Festivals. Although, this Pulao is a Vegetarian recipe but it is usually served with Chicken or Mutton Curry. The rich taste of coconut milk enhances the taste and the addition of garam masala gives earthen flavour to the dish. This coconut pulao is a special vegetarian recipe and a variation of Pulao.

Coconut grated 1 Large
Rice 1 kg
Ghee/Clarified Butter 2-3 tbs
Onion 1 Large Chopped
Cinnamon 5-6 pieces
Firstly, In a mixer jar
Add grated coconut with little water and grind it to a medium thick paste
Use the coconut paste along with water and a strainer to extract the coconut milk.
Secondly, Heat a vessel
Meanwhile, On full flame
Further we need to add all the garam masala
Add onion and roast until golden brown
Now add coconut milk
Most Importantly, Add water as per rice taken which is 1 ltr.
Now add salt as per taste
Cook until it starts boiling
When it is boiling add rice
Mix it well
Further, We need to dry the water.
When little water is remaining, close lid and cook on medium flame for 5 min

This is a popular breakfast recipe which is also made as a snack and served with Tea. This dish is one of my favorite’s and initially I thought this to be a difficult recipe but it is as easy as making Roti or Chapati. In this recipe, Banana is mashed and added to the flour with curd and kneaded to form a dough. Later small poori like buns are rolled out and deep fried in oil. The buns are tasty, soft and usually served with chutney. So lets begin the recipe and comment below your thoughts about this dish.
Maida (Refined wheat flour) 250 gm
Curd 2 tbs
Clarified Butter 2 tsp
Grated Jaggery 2-3 tbs
Salt 1/2 tsp
Cardamom powder 1/2 Spoon
In a mixer jar
Add peeled banana, jaggery, 1/2 teaspoon salt, cardamom powder and 2 tablespoon curd and grind it to make paste.
Further, Pour the banana paste in a plate
Now add ghee
Mix it well and knead it to make a dough while adding all maida (Do not use water)
Keep it aside for 30 min
Now apply a little oil on hands
Make medium small balls from the dough
Further, Roll the balls into thin size puri while applying maida flour
Add the rolled puri into the oil pan
Dip it and fry it until it colours on both side
Flip to other side 2-3 times and then take it off stove
Homemade recipe of Peanut Butter, so easy to make and delicious. Firstly, we need to roast Peanuts. Secondly, We grind the roasted peanuts in a mixer grinder. Additionally, Jaggery and Cardamom powder enhance the taste.

Heat a pan
On full flame, add peanuts in pan
Roast for 1 min on full flame
On medium flame, roast until thoroughly roasted while constant stirring as the colour changes slightly
Breakfast is an important meal of the day. Therefore, there are lots of variations in breakfast based on the regions around the world. Likewise, Indian cuisine offers varied breakfast options and Poori or Puri is one such popular Breakfast/Nashta recipe. This Breakfast recipe is a combination of a Sweet which is Gajar Halwa (Carrot) and Puri. Poori’s are deep fried indian bread prepared using flour and either served with Bhaji (Vegetable Side Dish) or stuffed.
Today, I will show you a unique puri recipe made using Gajar Halwa. I have made a paste of the halwa mixture by grinding grated carrot along with dry fruits, jaggery and kneaded it with wheat flour to make dough for poori’s which is then deep fried in oil. Hence, this poori recipe is a Carrot halwa poori as the halwa mixture is added in the flour.
Carrot 300 gm
Cashew 25 gm
Almond 25 gm
Ghee 1- 1 and 1/2 tbs
Malai/Milk Cream 1/2 cup
Jaggery 100 gm 3 tablespoon
Cardamom powder 10-15
Wheat flour 350 gm
Salt 1 spoon
Sesame Seeds to apply
In a mixer Jar add grated carrot, dry fruits, cardamom powder, milk cream and grind it to a fine paste.
In addition, add clarified butter (Ghee) and Jaggery to grind it further.
Meanwhile, Transfer the grinded paste in a bowl and add wheat flour .
Mix both and knead it to make a dough.
Keep the dough aside for 10-15 minutes.
Apply a little oil on hands and make small round balls of the dough.
Apply sesame seeds to the flour balls and start rolling it flat into poori’s.
Firstly, Heat Oil in a Kadai/Pan.
Secondly, Add the poori’s in the oil and deep fry it.

Dry fruits along with Jaggery is used to prepare this halwa sweet dish. Halwa is a popular sweet in asian cuisine and is similar to pudding. Radish 300 gm Almonds 15 Cashewnuts a few Raisins a few Milk 1 cup Jaggery 3 tbs Ghee/Clarified butter 1-2 tablespoon Cardamom powder 1 spoon
Heat a pan On full flame Add grated radish and cook until water dries Initially stirring for 30 sec on full flame Later close lid and cook for 1-2 min on medium flame Add milk on full flame and Stir for 30 sec Close lid and cook on medium flame for 2 min Heat another pan and add 1/2 tbs ghee Roast all the dry fruits while stirring for 30 sec and keep them aside After adding milk and cooking it, Now, stir mix it and add remaining ghee on medium flame Stir cook for 2 min on medium flame Add Jaggery and mix it thoroughly until jaggery dissolves for about 1-2 min Now Add cardamom powder Add dry fruits and mix it well for 30 sec Take it off stove Tasty Mooli Halwa is ready to serve Garnish with dry fruits and Serve hot.
