Ingredients for Egg Bonda Yummy Breakfast/Snack Recipe:

  • Eggs-5
  • Potatoes-2 big
  • Turmeric powder-1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder-1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds powder-1 tsp
  • Coriander powder-1-1/2 tsp
  • Carom seeds-1-1/2 tsp
  • Ginger paste-1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder-2 tsp
  • Dry mango powder-1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Chopped green chillies-4
  • few chopped mint leaves
  • Chopped coriender leaves- a few
  • Finely chopped onion-1 big
  • Gram flour (besan)-100 gm
  • Rice flour-1 tbsp

Method for this yummy snack recipe:

  • Boil eggs.
  • Below potatoes masala and gram flour mixture quantity is for 10 eggs.
  • Take a bowl, add 2 boiled and mashed potatoes, add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds powder, 1/2 tsp coriender powder, 1/2 tsp carom seeds, add 1/2 tsp ginger paste, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp dry mango powder, add salt as per taste, add 2 chopped green chillies, little chopped mint leaves, few chopped coriender leaves,
  • Add 1 large sized finely chopped onion and mix well.
  • Cut boiled eggs into partial half, fill potatoes masala on top and on either sides.
  • Add 100 gm gram flour to a bowl, add 1 tbsp rice flour, add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds powder, add 1 tsp red chilli powder, add 1 tsp carom seeds, add 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, add 1/2 tsp dry mango powder, add 1/2 tsp ginger paste, add salt as per taste, add 1 tsp coriender powder, add 2 chopped green chillies, add little chopped coriender leaves,
  • Add little water and mix well, add water as per thick consistency, dip egg into this batter and leave into oil for deep frying, turn upside down after 30 seconds, repeat the process of turning upside down until desired color.
  • Tip: If potatoes masala and besan mixture remains in excess, you can keep it in fridge for two days and can be used.
  • Egg bonda is ready.

Dry Fruits Custard Recipe

Ingredients for the Dry Fruits Custard:

  • Custard powder 2 & 1/2 tbsp
  • Cashewnuts 50 gm
  • Badam 25 gm
  • Watermelon Seeds 25 gm
  • Pine nuts 25 gm
  • Raisins 50 gm
  • Milk 750 ml
  • Jaggery powder 4-5 tbsp or Sugar
  • Water 250 ml

Method for the Dry Fruits Dessert:

  • Wash all the dry fruits
  • Heat a pan and on full flame
  • Add milk and water and allow it to boil
  • Take 1 cup cold milk and add custard powder and mix it well
  • When it starts boiling
  • Add all the dry fruits and just keep 10 % aside to garnish later
  • Add jaggery powder (Do not add regular jaggery while cooking only add it once cooking is done and completely cooled off)
  • Add custard powder and milk mixture
  • Cook for 2-3 min on full flame while constantly stirring it.
  • Take off stove.
  • Pour it in a bowl
  • Garnish with all the remaining dry fruits.
  • Serve chilled or hot as required.
  • Tasty dry fruit custard is ready
